Grandloves - Purity Ring
An online zine by my friend Katherine has finally been released today featuring art by myself and some good friends ~Carvedantlers, ~metrikfire and *puddinprincess. It's worth your time to check it out, the articles are great, the art's great and the zine itself looks really good.

So, dreams vs. reality. I found the name quite catching to my ears, so I've checked your artwork out. I'd say this is quite a lovely picture to look at, and I'd gladly hang it in my bedroom, but the name called me to look more into detail and see if I can find deeper meaning in it.
In the central view we see a girl dressed humbly on the bottom half of the piece, and seemingly the same girl upside down on the top half of the picture, more colorfully dressed. I would only assume the girl on the bottom would be the real one as the girl on the upper side on the picture appears unnaturally colorful, and the two girls share the same head.
Seeing how the girl was contrasted, I was expecting the same to occur to the surroundings, yet I've failed to locate the same occurring. It almost makes you feel like the girl only dreams about having a prettier dress, and that being the only meaning behind the artwork, and the name itself calls for so much more to occur. I was looking for signs of a humble approach to a deeper meaning, yet I've found none.
Still, lovely picture though.
